Since my first trip to Paris in 1993 when I fell head over heels for this city, I've been back many times to teach, work and travel. Now I'm thrilled to be able to share my love for this magical city with you!

The Art & Flowers retreat is for you to tap into the luxury, beauty, magic, and inspiration which oozes from every corner in this City of Love.

Envision a flower and art filled retreat in Paris among incredible gilded architecture, gorgeous impressionist art, in the most loved city in the world! We will visit the city of Paris as well as venture out of the city limits to spend a day at Versailles, and a day at Monet's Giverny.

You will leave feeling replenished, creatively inspired, and loved. You'll gain the tools you need to continue to spark creativity in small and beautiful ways upon your return and to incorporate them into your daily life.

Only a handful of spots are available on this program to be sure the retreat is kept intimate and easy to maneuver around the city like a Parisian.

The Itinerary

(subject to change)

Day 1 - Thursday

  • Morning/Early afternoon arrival
  • Afternoon/Early evening at Musee d'Orsay. In the centre of Paris on the banks of the Seine, the museum was installed in the former Orsay railway station, built for the Universal Exhibition of 1900. So the building itself could be seen as the first "work of art" in the Musee d'Orsay, which displays collections of art from the period 1848 to 1914.
  • Dinner on own near museum

Day 2 - Friday

  • Morning Breakfast
  • Short lesson on how to use the Paris Metro system
  • Tour the gorgeous white Basilica du Sacre Coeur atop a hill with a magnificent view of the city
  • Head into the Place du Tertre. With its many artists setting up their easels each day for the tourists, the Place du Tertre is a reminder of the time when Montmartre was the mecca of modern art. At the beginning of the 20th century, many painters including Pablo Picasso and Maurice Utrillo were living there.
  • Afternoon visit to Musee de Montmartre. Founded in 1960, it was built in the seventeenth century as the Bel Air House and is the oldest building in Montmartre.During its heyday, 12 rue Cortot served as a residence and meeting place for many artists including Auguste Renoir, Suzanne Valadon and Émile Bernard, who held their studios here, as well as the fauve artists Emile Othon Friesz and Raoul Dufy.  Certainly one of the most charming museums in Paris
  • Dinner on own

Day 3 - Saturday

  • Morning Breakfast
  • Entire day in Versailles at the Chateau de Versailles. You will have the entire day to explore the Palace, the Palaces of Trianon and the Estate of Marie-Antoinette as well as the temporary exhibitions and the gardens.
  • Dinner on own

Day 4 - Sunday

  • Morning Breakfast
  • Visit L'Orangerie Museum where Monet's water lilies are hanging.
  • Free afternoon/evening to explore. Suggestions: Louvre Museum, Tuileries Gardens, Shopping, Champs Elysees

Day 5 - Monday

  • Morning  Breakfast
  • Spend Day at Monet's garden and home, Giverny. Claude Monet noticed the village of Giverny while looking out of a train window. He made up his mind to move there and rented a house and the area surrounding it. In 1890 he had enough money to buy the house and land outright and set out to create the magnificent gardens he wanted to paint. Some of his most famous paintings were of his garden in Giverny, famous for its rectangular Clos Normand, with archways of climbing plants entwined around colored shrubs, and the water garden, formed by a tributary to the Epte, with the Japanese bridge, the pond with the water lilies, the wisterias and the azaleas.

Day 6 -  Tuesday

  • Morning  Breakfast
  • Guided Perfume tour with professional perfumer
  • Afternoon visit of the Palais Garnier, Paris Opera House, made infamous by the "Phantom of the Opera". Discover the treasures of the Palais Garnier, its Grand Stairway, its famous ceiling by Chagall and so much more.
