This research project outlines the concept of a Sustainable Innovation School, an educational institution merging traditional art and design with sustainability and material innovation. It emphasizes a Bauhaus-style interdisciplinary approach, offering courses in systems thinking, sustainable design, and material reuse while fostering collaboration across fields like ecology, agriculture, and urban planning. The school aims to empower artists and artisans as change agents through experiential learning, community initiatives, and open-source resources, creating a network of leaders in sustainability and innovation. Revenue streams include workshops, certifications, memberships, and partnerships, supported by a diverse cost structure and key partnerships with educators, artisans, and sustainability experts.
